Faith Worship Styles

Worship Service
Sundays at 8:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M.

Here at Faith we worship God in a variety of ways.  Music ranges from traditional hymns to more contemporary Christian songs.  A message given by our Pastor is featured at the service as a guide for spiritual growth.  In addition, children are invited to gather before the altar for a special “Good News” message.  There is usually special music provided by our choir, bells or soloists each week.

Worship formats are typically rotated as follows, though the order may occasionally be modified (consult "This Week At Faith" on our home page for the scheduled format) :

First Sunday of the Month – “Blended Worship”
This service blends music from organ, keyboard and other instruments with traditional hymns and more contemporary songs.  It is a little more "free-form" than traditional service formats.
Communion is celebrated at the 8:30 A.M. service.

Second Sunday of the Month – “Liturgical Worship I”
This is the traditional service straight from the hymnal (either Lutheran Worship or The Lutheran Hymnal).
Communion is celebrated at the 11:00 A.M. service.

Third Sunday of the Month – “Celebration”
This service is what many call “contemporary.”  Keyboard and other instruments are used to sing more contemporary Christian songs or “upbeat” versions of hymns.
Communion is celebrated at the 8:30 A.M. service.

Fourth Sunday of the Month – “Liturgical Worship II”
This service includes traditional hymns and, in addition, hymn tunes are used for settings of the ordinary parts of the service.
Communion is celebrated at the 11:00 A.M. service.

Fifth Sunday of the Month – “Song Service”
This service normally includes hymns and songs that are favorites of the congregation, but may also reflect special formats.
Communion is celebrated at both services.
