Lenten Services
Midweek Lenten services begin at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesdays. Our focus during these midweek services will be the parable of The Prodigal Son.
LWML Special Lenten Ingathering
A special Lent Ingathering will be collected through March 10. The items will be taken to the English District LWML Convention in Michigan.
The collection box will be located outside of the church office.
The following are needed for Lutheran City Ministries, Inc.:
Bar soap, adult/child toothbrushes, small tubes of toothpaste, men/women deodorant, tissue packs hand sanitizer lotion/wipes, Q-tips, disposable shavers, shaving
lotion, wash clothes, hand towels, adult Christian tracts, children Christian tracts/Arch books/coloring books.
Also needed for MOST Ministries: New or gently
used adult-sized and children-sized single vision lens eyeglasses, over the counter reading glasses and non prescription sun-glasses (bifocals, trifocals or broken
glasses cannot be used.)
Rainbows
Our Rainbows Ministry is growing! In one week, 5 children joined. We now have 16 children and
8 adults attending. We are in need of staff to lead the small group sessions. If you would
like to learn more about Rainbows, contact Anna Marie Yates or one of the Rainbows staff; Joan
Henning, Bob Ehlert, Sara Franklin or Cheryl Sanders. Perhaps the Lord Is calling you to help
these children in need.
Altar Guild
We are in need of a few more women to help with the altar set-up and clean up on Sunday mornings. You are asked to serve two months in the year with
another volunteer. Please contact the church office with questions or to offer your service. Thank you!
Prayer Chain

Parish Nurse
Margie Mayfield, our Advocate Parish Nurse, is in the office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Her direct

Parish nurse intern Richy Ualat will be serving alongside Margie for the Spring 2010 semester. Richy is a nurse at Alexian Brothers, completing course work for a degree from NIU.
Blood pressure screening - First Sunday of the month.
